About Me
Like many women, I stumbled through menopause unaware of what was happening to my body. I thought menopause was just the end of periods and a few hot flushes. But through my 40s and 50s, I struggled with a multitude of symptoms—never realizing they were menopause-related. The doctors I turned to didn’t connect the dots either. No one mentioned the role of declining hormones on a woman’s health, or how stress, sleep, nutrition and exercise can impact the way we experience menopause. I assumed it was just part of getting older or the exhaustion of juggling teenagers, aging parents, and work. But when my symptoms became impossible to ignore, I took matters into my own hands—researching menopause, attending courses, and connecting with other women.
